About Manitoba IEC
The MBIEC is an employer-facing initiative funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada( IRCC) and part of the National Network of Immigrant Employment Council-IECC. The Manitoba Immigrant Employment Council is a non-profit project that equips Manitoba employers with solutions, tools and resources to recognize newcomer skills and experience at hire as well as to better equip employers to implement workplace supports so that newcomer talent can be retained for the benefit of employers and newcomer employees across the province.
Our core activities include an annual job fair as well as webinars, networking, communications, and research, all centred around the objective of identifying and sharing made-in-Manitoba employer solutions for the hiring and retention of newcomers. We believe that as Manitoba builds capacity for more effectively employing newcomers, employers, newcomers, and our communities will benefit from our mutual success.
Our mission is to identify and promote Manitoba-based employer best practices for the hiring and retention of newcomers in Manitoba.
To enable Manitoba employers seamlessly integrate the talent and skills of newcomers into the labor market.
This project is an employer-facing, indirect service that will aim to identify and promote Manitoba-based employer best practices for the hiring and retention of newcomer talents.
